Flight to whimsical wonderland

"Flight to whimsical wonderland" is the name of my final project collection. I have never mention this before, I was in a very short fashion diploma. This was what I designed, drafted and sew. This is the only piece of item in my wardrobe that has the most number of prints mixed together, so I thought it would suit this month's theme of prints.

Our final project was to design a collection of 5 pieces and make 1 physical piece. My inspiration was on a flight of stairs taking me to a whimsical wonderland. Thus the back of my dress was pleated, resembling that of flight of stairs. It is also cut loose with a dip hem, so that the back of the dress would float when the wind blows, resembling a kite. So it's like I take my flight, the flight of a kite. While my dress is a mix of whimsical prints, like that of wonderland.

Mixing prints was something I gave as a challenge to myself. I always like it when people mix prints with separates, but I wanted it all in one dress as I have more dress than separates. Do you like the mix?

Do you like my cloth buttons made from fabric from my dress? They are from the crafting section of Diaso (Japanese S$2 store)! Oh, and can you see the spool and car print of my dress? :)
