Gilty Bobbi

Every Christmas, beauty companies would come up with special releases. It is always very fun to browse and try these limited edition products.

Now being jobless, I need to make the most out of my bucks. I wanted to purchase a Christmas series make- up that would be useful all year long. Then I stumbled upon this Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Party Eye Palette, a great brown palette that I could use all year round. Before this, I frankly have never used Bobbi Brown. I always wanted to try as they have very nice brown palettes and this Christmas was a great chance.

This palette is retailing in Singapore at around USD70. Then I saw it was on sale on Gilt Groupe. I am a member for the longest time but I always hesitate since I have to pay international shipping which usually amounts to quite a bit. The same palette was retailing at around USD 50 (after tax and conversion) and it comes with a free miniature mascara! To top it off, Gilt was having a promotional period of free international shipping! So this sets off my first purchase from Gilt!

I was initially worried about the eye shadows breaking by the time they got shipped over. But Gilt packed it so tackfully that it came totally safe and pretty!

I love this palette:

1) It's a great travel size! ( I now bring it for my after- gym make- up).

2) The colours are so pretty! Even my hubby complimented the shimmer on my lids when I wore it out the first time.

P.S: I used this palette + Coastal Sands palette for my Chirstmas Party Look

3) Love the very soft and 2 sided brush!

4) It was a great deal!  

Would be even more lovely if:

1) The colours weren't so sheer. They need quite a bit of layering. But it's good for light daily wear.

2) There were to be a mix of shimmer and matte colours. Only the darkest brown is matte. I would have loved it if there was another matte colour for a good mix.
