Busy Christmas Bee Part 2: DIY gift boxes

The busy Christmas bee is taking her well deserved break typing this post. I love this feeling that I can finally sit back, relax, enjoy all the Christmas gatherings and give away the presents!

I prepared some little gifts for my colleagues but I just can't find the right boxes for the gifts. I thought making the boxes will be a fun DIY project and also a fantastic way to make the gifts a little more special for my lovely colleagues. If you like to make your own gift box, you must check out Homemade Gifts Made Easy. I'm so happy I found this website! There are clear step by step instructions and videos to teach you how to make a variety of boxes.

I followed the square box with lid tutorial using plain paper and covered the sides of the boxes with scrapbook papers. Alternatively, you can directly use the scrapbook papers to fold the box and lid. I also made a pillow case box. It's incredibly easy with the templates from the website and there are three sizes to choose from. Finally, decorate the boxes with their names, flowers, stickers, ribbons, pearls!

It's Christmas eve! What are you doing today? I'm having a Christmas eve lunch with my colleagues and I'm so looking forward to it! I might not be back here on Christmas, so here's an early Christmas greetings to all you beautiful ladies. Have a blessed Christmas with your loved ones and an awesome 2013 ahead!

xoxo,
Ft

  1. What gorgeous gift boxes! I've been so lazy. Barely got the wrapping done. Isn't it nice to have time to relax, enjoy, and type up a real blog post?
