We loved Twiggy in the 60s and we still love her now. I never had any make-up influence from my mom, as she always believed in natural beauty. She never really applied make-up and said that nature is beauty. Perhaps it is because of this view, it influenced me to love Twiggy. We cannot say that Twiggy's make- up is "natural", but it does enhance the natural features of human's eyes without invloving too much colours.
To me, Twiggy's make up is enhancing: lashes and deep- set eyes, all of which are the natural beauties of women's eyes. Describing how she obtained her prominent eyelashes, Twiggy said, "Back then I was layering three pairs of false eyelashes over my own and would paint extra ‘twigs’ on my skin underneath."
My version is just an adaptation, something I feel that is a little more wearable. I had attached false lower lashes instead of painting them on. This looks a little more natural. A little above the grooves of the socket, I had drawn a dark brown line and blended it in a little to my brown shadow. This is a little softer than Twiggy's version and gives my Asian eyes a little bit more graduated depth. I have also stacked on two pairs of falsies instead of three. The rest of the make up is kept minimal with soft pink cheeks and lips.
I personally love large eyes with long lashes. Which is the favourite part of your face that you like to enhance?
Ash :o)
this is such a good look! twiggy's look was so classic and pretty and that is how you look here! having asian eyes also it can be difficult to create that depth and opennes but i think you did it really well here!
