Outfit guest post: Laura from The Blog of Worldly Delights

Introducing lovely Laura from The Blog of Worldly Delights! We are SO thrilled that Laura's here to join our Disney fun! She has the cutest outfit style and she just sprung to our mind when we decided on our Disney theme. Her blog is filled with all things delightful and is such a happy place! Be sure to check out her blog. We're sure you will love it as much as we do!

I was extremely flattered to be invited by the gorgeous ladies Fang Ting and Ashley to do an outfit guest post, and I was overjoyed when I found out the theme was going to be Disney! I grew up watching "Princess cartoons," though I will confess, I never really thought of myself as being or becoming a princess. Instead, I marveled at the menacing, evil women who relentlessly tried to make the protagonists' lives hell. I suppose it's because these villains always had more strikingly bold outfits.
I chose to emulate Ursula, the conniving sea-witch who claims to provide a helping hand to those "poor unfortunate souls." Though not my most favorite Disney villain (mine is Maleficent), Ursula's aesthetic is super fun and easy to translate to a wearable everyday look.
I wore a pleated black dress which lends a feeling of having a fuller bottom. The bright purple tights call to mind the sea witch's skin tone and underside of her tentacles, and I chose this serpent necklace (though I wish I had two) to pay tribute to Ursula's minion eels. I topped the look off with dark purple and black eye shadow and a red lip.

Thank you Laura!

  5. I love this! The purple tights and eyeshadow tie it together really well. As a kid Little Mermaid was my favourite, and I loved to hate Ursula.
