Keep things simple!

Don't we all love New Year? It’s the time where we can smile at our blessings and accomplishments in 2011 and feel hopeful all over again about the new year ahead.

And of course every refreshing of the year and change of season also brings about host of new fashion trends - futuristic prints, graphic florals, cheerful colours, peplum - and we are sure to find something we want to try.

My favourite Spring 2012 collection must be that by Phillip Lim. I love how Phillip Lim kept everything simple, light and casual. While most designers are leaning towards bolder colours and louder prints this Spring, this minimalist perspective makes his collection stand out.

From long vest to loose cut pants and roomy culottes, every piece is something I love to have in my wardrobe. Check out the rest of his collection here.

I'm inspired to go simple this season - a great (read: convenient) approach especially on busy or lazy days. A three minutes scour through my wardrobe and I'm ready to hit the streets with my minimalism inspired outfit.
White jacket from Far East Plaza
Mossy green top from Monki
Herem pants from Dotti, Far East Plaza
Clutch from BagAge (It used to be one of my favourite shop for bags but it has closed its business last year)

I hope 2012 has been good for all of you so far. Found any styles you like to try from this Spring 2012 collection?

xoxo,
Ft
