Wrapped up in Christmas

Sometimes we get a little bored with the wrappers and boxes we see in stores as we cannot personalise them.

So here are just some simple ideas to give that personal touch to wrapping the gift for that special someone!

First up, a DIY wrapper. It's just having simple school artwork!

We need:
- Crinkled paper (or any paper you prefer)
- Pen
- Cutter/ knife
- Potato
- Paint (I'm using watercolour, you can use other paint if you want stronger colour)

Steps
1) Cut the potato into half
2) Draw your desired picture on the potato (I drew a Christmas tree, you can try other things such as snow flakes, candy cane and others)
3) Cut out your picture
4) Paint the potato with your desired colour

 5) You could layer with different colours till you are satisfied with the design.

That's it! It's just about having fun and creativity!

Next, a matchstick box gift box.

When we want to give small gifts, a matchbox is a great container. You could use it after as a container for your accessories too, as you do not need to "unwrap" the decorations to open it!

We need:
- Simple stationary (Glue and scissors)
- Wrapping paper (DIY or ready made)
- Items for decorations (I'm using felt shapes, lace, ribbons and some pearls)

Steps:
1) Wrap the box with a wrapper (remember to not wrap the push out side of the box)
2) Attach desired decorations
3) Finally I've wrapped the box with my DIY wrapper so the push out side of the box does not drop out when you are giving it to your friend

Hope this inspires you to have fun when wrapping gifts!
