H&M Finally in Singapore!
H&M finally set foot in Singapore this September! Singaporeans are totally going gaga over this 3- storey Swedish fashion store, located right smack in the middle of our famous shopping street, Orchard Road.
Though I went on a weekday afternoon, when everyone is suppose to be working, the crowd was overwhelming. When I got into the queue to get in the store, there were already around 50 people waiting in- line in front of me and many more quickly joining behind me.
I was very lucky to brave this crowd with my dear friends. They made the long waits for entrance, fitting and payment a lot more bearable.
I must appologise for not taking photos of the interior of the store. Well, I have very good reasons. I was too engrosed trying to make my way through the crowd and was eagerly grabbing stuff before they were gone! The 2- storey- full of ladies wear is a heaven, so much so that everyone was grabbing stuff like Singapore was suffering from a fashion famine. It was difficult to shop as the more popular items were quickly running out of sizes and colours. Despite all that I still emerged victorious!
(Pardon me for purposely bluring this photo. I was in my "war" attire, all ready for the struggles and totally not ready for photos.)
Here are my trophies, not many but totally satisfying! A black cotton dress, a dusty pink chiffon dress and a pack of cute socks!
The black dress (at the back) is the same design as this lips-print dress I bought from H&M Switzerland. I like this dress so much that I decided I needed to get 1 more in Singapore! Just something interesting to note, the 2 dresses despite being the same design have differing lengths. The one I got in Singapore is actually 1 inch longer than the one I got in Switzerland. Perhaps H&M decided that Asians are more conservative and need longer skirt lengths? What's your take on this?
Ash :o)
Thank you for taking time to leave a comment. They made our day!
