When He closes one door, He opens another.
I met my besties recently and something they said kept ringing in my head. "You are already 31, and yet you have no 'proper' job and no kids! Don't you think you have achieved nothing in life?" Well, it didn't bother me at first as I never felt anything wrong with my life now and I am happy. But I don't know why it just kept flashing in my head, it sets me to re-think about my path.
I am a believer of fate and I believe that the luckiest thing fate brought me is my husband. I grew up believing that I must pursue a "proper" path in life: get married, have a stable job and have kids. My husband was the one who encouraged me to pursue my passion and supported me. So 2 years back I left my stable job as a teacher and took up a fashion diploma and subsequently set up my own label/store. It's not that I do not love teaching or the kids, but it's just that I would never know what it would be like to purse my dream. My friends said "Some dreams are meant to be just dreams... isn't it time to come back to reality?" Well, I didn't answer them then but now I know. When He closes one door, He opens another. I have walked into this door and I will continue to do my best until He guides me on another path.
"Truthful words are not beautiful; beautiful words are not truthful. Good words are not persuasive; persuasive words are not good."- Lao Tzu . I really thank my besties for loving me so much to be truthful to me and care for me. Guess I can only repay them by walking this path well.
Any path is lonely alone, and I am truly blessed to have met people who supported me through this. FT is one of them! Don't you just love this look she did for me? Such a talent isn't she? :)
